On 17th October 2024, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School celebrated Maharshi Valmiki Jayanti with reverence, honoring the sage who authored the epic *Ramayana*. The celebration began with a prayer ceremony, followed by students and teachers sharing insights into Valmiki’s life and his transformation from a highwayman to a revered saint through penance and devotion. Valmiki’s contributions, especially the values of duty, compassion, and righteousness, were emphasized, inspiring students to emulate these ideals. Through cultural presentations and recitations, students reflected on the epic’s influence on Indian heritage, underlining Valmiki’s legacy as the *Adikavi* (first poet) of Sanskrit literature.
