National Science Day Celebrations

Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Mysore, celebrated National Science Day with great enthusiasm on 28th February 2026, commemorating the birth anniversary of the renowned Indian physicist Dr. C. V. Raman, the Nobel Laureate known for discovering the Raman Effect. The event aimed to highlight the importance of science in everyday life and to inspire young minds to develop curiosity, observation, and a scientific temperament.

Students from Grades I to IX actively participated in the celebrations, making the event vibrant and educational. The program was designed to promote experiential learning and practical understanding of scientific concepts, allowing students to explore science beyond textbooks.

One of the major highlights of the event was the science experiment demonstrations conducted by students. Through these experiments, students explained various scientific principles in an engaging and interactive manner. Their presentations reflected confidence, clarity, and strong demonstration skills, while also encouraging fellow students to think critically and scientifically.

The celebration also included inspiring speeches delivered by the Science teachers, who spoke about the contributions of Dr. C. V. Raman and the significance of scientific research in shaping the modern world. They motivated students to cultivate curiosity, ask questions, and pursue knowledge with dedication.

The event was further guided by Academic Coordinator Mr. Satish, who addressed the gathering and emphasized the role of science in innovation, discovery, and national development. He encouraged students to adopt a mindset of inquiry and experimentation, reminding them that every great discovery begins with curiosity.

Throughout the program, students demonstrated impressive communication skills, presentation abilities, and collaborative learning, reflecting the institution’s commitment to holistic education. The activities also helped students understand how scientific knowledge can be applied in real-life situations.
