On July 3, 2024, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School hosted an enlightening orientation session on the Indian International Model United Nations (IIMUN) conducted by Mr. Deepak. The session was attended by students from Grades 7 to 9, eager to learn about the importance and impact of participating in Model United Nations (MUN) conferences.
Mr. Deepak began the orientation by explaining the concept of MUN and its significance in fostering global awareness and diplomatic skills among students. He highlighted how MUN simulations allow students to step into the shoes of ambassadors from various countries, engaging in discussions and debates on pressing international issues. Mr. Deepak emphasized the benefits of MUN, including the development of public speaking, negotiation, and critical thinking skills. He also shared personal anecdotes and experiences, illustrating how participating in MUN conferences had positively influenced his own academic and professional journey. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, where students enthusiastically asked questions and expressed their interest in participating in future MUN events. The orientation by Mr. Deepak was a resounding success, inspiring students to explore the world of diplomacy and international relations through IIMUN.
