On 22nd August 2025, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Belagola, Near Mysore, organized a vibrant Puppet Show cultural program at Little Elly Preschool, Gokulam Branch, Mysore. The event brought together teachers, staff, and enthusiastic little learners from Pre-Nursery, LKG, and UKG classes, creating a joyful atmosphere of learning and celebration.

The puppet show served as a perfect blend of creativity, entertainment, and moral education. The performances captured the attention of young children while gently instilling timeless cultural values. The highlight of the program was the depiction of the importance of Pranam, followed by engaging mythological stories of Lord Ganesha and Lord Karthikeya. These stories, told through lively puppetry, resonated deeply with the audience, making the event both meaningful and memorable for the preschoolers.

The narration of the puppet show was wonderfully led by Shashi Kumari Madam, Pooja Madam, and PRO Manju Nayak, who ensured that the storytelling remained interactive and impactful. Their engaging narration style kept the young audience captivated throughout the performance. With prior permission to host the event at Little Elly Gokulam, the collaboration turned into a valuable opportunity for Gurukul Mysore students to share knowledge, values, and cultural heritage with their peers.

The event not only showcased the students’ creativity and confidence but also emphasized the role of puppetry as a traditional art form that can effectively communicate important life lessons to children. By combining storytelling with visual performance, the puppet show encouraged preschoolers to understand values such as respect, devotion, and humility in a fun and relatable way.

Overall, the Puppet Show by Gurukul Mysore at Little Elly Gokulam Preschool was a resounding success. It reflected Gurukul’s commitment to holistic education, where cultural enrichment, value-based learning, and creativity are nurtured alongside academic excellence. The program left an everlasting impression on the students and staff, reinforcing the importance of cultural connection in early childhood education.
