Published On: August 22, 2025

On 22nd August 2025, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Belagola, Near Mysore, organized a colorful and engaging Puppet Show cultural event at Master Mind Preschool, Mysore. The program created a joyful and learning-centered atmosphere for the little learners of Pre-Nursery, LKG, and UKG classes, bringing together teachers, staff, and students in a celebration of culture and creativity.

The event beautifully combined entertainment with moral values, leaving a lasting impression on the young audience. The centerpiece of the program was a heartwarming presentation on the importance of Pranam, teaching children the value of respect and humility. This was followed by captivating mythological stories about Lord Ganesha and Lord Karthikeya, told through the art of puppetry. These stories resonated with the preschoolers, helping them connect with Indian traditions in an enjoyable and age-appropriate way.

The narration of the puppet show was skillfully carried out by Shashi Kumari Madam, Pooja Madam, and PRO Manju Nayak, whose storytelling style kept the children engaged from beginning to end. Their expressive narration, combined with the visual appeal of puppets, made the moral lessons simple, relatable, and memorable. With special permission granted to host the performance at Master Mind Preschool, this collaboration turned into a meaningful cultural exchange between Gurukul Mysore and the host institution.

The event not only provided students with an opportunity to express their creativity and imagination but also reinforced their understanding of cultural roots. Puppetry, being one of the oldest art forms, proved to be an effective medium to impart lessons of respect, devotion, and discipline in a fun and engaging manner.

Overall, the Puppet Show by Gurukul Mysore at Master Mind Preschool was a delightful success. It highlighted Gurukul’s commitment to holistic education, where cultural awareness, character building, and creativity are nurtured alongside academics. The event left a positive impact on both students and staff, showcasing how meaningful cultural activities can enrich early childhood education and inspire young minds.
