Published On: August 7, 2025

On 7th August 2025, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Belagola Near Mysore celebrated the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan with deep cultural reverence and heartfelt unity. The highlight of the celebration was the Raksha Bandhan Pledge Ceremony, which instilled values of love, protection, and universal brotherhood among the students.

The event began with a brief introduction on the significance of Raksha Bandhan, a festival that symbolizes the sacred bond between siblings and promotes the spirit of care and responsibility. Students were reminded that Raksha Bandhan goes beyond tying rakhi – it reflects the essence of standing for each other, especially in times of need.

All students gathered together and took a meaningful pledge, which emphasized protecting not only siblings but all human beings, standing against injustice, and promoting peace and harmony in society. The powerful lines of the pledge echoed through the school, as students promised to uphold dignity, equality, and compassion in their actions.

The atmosphere was filled with a sense of unity as students, reinforcing the idea that every individual is a part of one human family. Teachers also took part in guiding the students on the importance of mutual respect and non-discrimination, regardless of caste, gender, or background.

This Raksha Bandhan celebration became more than a ritual; it transformed into a lesson in humanity, aligning perfectly with the values upheld by Gurukul education — Character, Competence, and Culture.

The event concluded with a message from school authorities appreciating the spirit shown by the students and encouraging them to carry forward the pledge in their daily lives.

The celebration stood as a beautiful reminder that true protection lies not just in words, but in actions rooted in love, empathy, and courage.
