On 5th September 2024, we, the students of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, had the privilege to organize a heartfelt program dedicated to our beloved teachers on Teachers’ Day. The celebration was a small gesture to show our immense gratitude and respect for the tireless efforts of our mentors.
The day began with students providing snacks to our teachers, symbolizing our appreciation. The program officially started with a welcome speech and a brief introduction. Master Daivik highlighted the importance of Teachers’ Day, emphasizing how teachers guide and shape our future. Prajwal and Raghavan then delivered inspiring speeches in both English and Kannada, reminding us all of the profound impact teachers have on our lives.
Our teachers took a moment to speak about the essence of Gurudevobhava—the idea that teachers are to be revered like deities. They shared their heartfelt wishes to educators worldwide and took a pledge to continue to influence, transform, and facilitate learning with dedication, represented by the acronym FIT – Facilitator, Influencer, Transformer.
In a special activity, some of us students took on the role of teachers for the day, giving us a glimpse into the challenges and responsibilities that come with teaching. It was a humbling experience and helped us truly appreciate the efforts of our teachers.
The celebration also included a beautiful song and a lively dance performance, followed by fun activities for the teachers, making the day both joyous and meaningful. To conclude, a valuable letter of appreciation was presented to all teachers, acknowledging their dedication. Master Naithik Shankar delivered a sincere vote of thanks, expressing gratitude on behalf of all the students.
The event was a huge success, leaving a lasting impression of joy and respect on all who attended.
