Published On: June 19, 2025

On 19th June 2025, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Mysore, hosted a deeply spiritual and transformative event – Varthaman Deeksha. The ceremony was a divine occasion marked by the presence and blessings of Pujyapad Mahanth Swamiji Shri Devprasaddasji Swamiji, Pujya Nityaswaroopdasji Swamiji, and Pujya Harivandandasji Swamiji. The event was also attended by Director Alpesh Sir, Assistant Directors Bharath Sir and Jay Sir, Principal Shriharsha Joshi, Academic Coordinator Satish N, the teaching staff, and over 800 students of the Gurukul family. Additionally, 10 alumni took the opportunity to have darshan of Bade Swamiji, reconnecting with the spiritual roots of their Gurukul journey.

The focus of the day was Pancha Varthaman Deeksha — a spiritual initiation that connects students to the timeless values of Dharma, Seva, and Bhakti. The program began with sacred rituals including Arati and Dandavat Pranam, followed by the powerful guidance and blessings from Bade Swamiji. Swamiji emphasized in his address that “Gurukulites are born to be great,” igniting a spark of spiritual motivation and purpose in every student’s heart.

A significant highlight of the day was the Panch Varthaman Deeksha, where all newly joined Gurukulites took a vow to lead a spiritually enriched and disciplined life as per the teachings of Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan. The moment was serene and moving as the young disciples committed themselves to the Gurukul way of life, rooted in values and devotion.

Special blessings were also conferred upon Master Dislash and Master Parthsarathi by the revered saints for their exemplary dedication and sincerity. The presence of the saints, along with the spiritual ambiance, created a divine energy that resonated throughout the campus.

The event not only offered a chance for students and staff to participate in sacred rituals but also allowed them to introspect and realign their lives with spiritual goals. It fostered a deeper understanding of the relevance of spiritual values in the modern world and reinforced the mission of Gurukul to nurture character, culture, and competence.

The Varthaman Deeksha at Gurukul Mysore was truly a day of divine transformation, reflection, and spiritual rejuvenation.
