Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Mysore celebrated Vegan Day with enthusiasm and meaningful participation, promoting healthy living, compassion, and environmental responsibility among students. The event aimed to spread awareness about plant-based food habits and sustainable lifestyles.
The program was graced by Sri Harsha Joshi Sir, Principal of Gurukul Mysore, along with Sri Sanjeev Kumar Sir, State President for Farmers, and Sri Vasu, an innovative farmer. Their presence and guidance enriched the event by connecting students with real-life agricultural knowledge and ethical food practices.
Students actively participated in a vegetable-selling activity, where they displayed and sold fresh vegetables. This practical exercise helped them understand basic business concepts such as pricing, communication, and the value of farmers’ work.
The Vegan Day celebration beautifully reflected Gurukul’s vision of holistic education by blending values, awareness, and practical life skills for a healthier and greener future.
