Ganesh Chaturthi, one of the most revered festivals in India, arrived with great excitement and enthusiasm at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Wadoda, Nagpur. Our serene campus, known for its blend of academic excellence and spiritual values, was abuzz with joyous preparation to honor Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the harbinger of wisdom.
The Grand Welcome: Ganpati Sthapana by P.P Muktvallabhdasji Swamiji
The celebrations commenced with the auspicious installation (sthapana) of Lord Ganesha’s beautifully adorned idol by P.P Muktvallabhdasji Swamiji. His divine presence blessed the event, and the entire Gurukul family gathered with reverence to witness this sacred moment. The pandal, intricately decorated with vibrant flowers and radiant garlands, set the perfect backdrop for this significant ritual.
As Swamiji performed the traditional puja, the atmosphere was filled with spirituality and devotion. The sound of mantras echoed through the air, and the entire Gurukul family was united in prayer, invoking Lord Ganesha’s blessings for wisdom, success, and prosperity.
Daily Aartis and Puja: A Divine Experience
Throughout the festival, the Gurukul echoed with the sound of devotional songs and chants. Each day, students and teachers participated in the morning and evening aartis, offering prayers to Lord Ganesha. The mellifluous rendition of Ganesh Vandana and the enchanting bhajans created an aura of devotion and peace, instilling a sense of spiritual calmness in everyone present.
A Sweet Note: Prasad Distribution
The celebrations were filled with the sweetness of tradition as delicious Prasad, including the much-loved modaks, were distributed among students and staff. Sharing the Prasad fostered a sense of unity, gratitude, and joy, symbolizing the blessings of Lord Ganesha.
