🌸 Jal Jilani Ekadashi Celebrated with Devotion and Joy at Swaminarayan Gurukul 🌸

Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul celebrated Jal Jilani Ekadashi, also known as Parivartini Ekadashi, with great devotion, spiritual enthusiasm, and joy. The celebration brought together our students and saints in an atmosphere filled with bhakti, learning, and joyful activities.

The program began with four devotional Aartis, creating a divine and peaceful atmosphere across the Gurukul. The students participated with devotion and reverence, seeking the blessings of Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan.

Following the Aarti, Pujya Vishwamangal Swamiji addressed the students with an inspiring spiritual speech. Swamiji explained the importance of Ekadashi and shared valuable teachings about devotion, discipline, purity, and the importance of following the path shown by Bhagwan Swaminarayan.

🌊 The Story and Significance of Jal Jilani Ekadashi

Jal Jilani Ekadashi is traditionally associated with the Parivartini Ekadashi, observed during the Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. It is especially celebrated with devotion towards Bhagwan and is connected with the divine tradition of offering the Lord a symbolic change of place and enjoying the beauty of water and nature.

In the Swaminarayan Sampraday, such festivals are an opportunity for devotees and students to remember Bhagwan Swaminarayan, understand His divine life and teachings, and strengthen their devotion. The celebration of Jal Jilani reminds us that festivals are not merely occasions for enjoyment, but also opportunities to turn our minds towards God, practise self-discipline, and develop satsang and devotion.

At Swaminarayan Gurukul, the spirit of the festival was beautifully connected with the values of Vidya, Sadvidya and Brahmavidya, helping students experience spirituality along with joyful learning.

🎨 Swaminarayan-Themed Competition

After the spiritual session, students enthusiastically participated in a Swaminarayan-themed competition. Through creativity and participation, the students expressed their devotion and understanding of the teachings and values of Bhagwan Swaminarayan.

The competition created an atmosphere of excitement and encouraged students to learn, participate, and celebrate together.

🏊 Joyful Swimming Activity

The celebration concluded with a refreshing and joyful swimming activity. The students enjoyed bathing and swimming in the Gurukul swimming pool, making the Jal Jilani celebration especially memorable.

The day beautifully combined devotion, spiritual guidance, creativity, and joyful student activities, making Jal Jilani Ekadashi a meaningful and memorable celebration at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul.
