Sankranti Celebrations

The Gurukul campus came alive with devotion, tradition, and joyful togetherness during the Pre-Sankranti Celebrations, marking the auspicious transition toward Uttarayana—the path of light and righteousness.

The celebrations began with the sacred Bhogi bonfire, symbolizing the burning away of negativity, old habits, and ignorance, inspiring students to embrace purity, discipline, and renewal in life. The rising flames reflected the inner awakening encouraged by our Gurukul values.

Students offered heartfelt prayers and participated in devotional activities, remembering Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan, seeking divine blessings for a purposeful and dharmic life. The atmosphere resonated with spiritual energy, gratitude, and cultural pride.

The campus was adorned with vibrant rangoli designs, traditional decorations, and joyful participation from students, staff, and families, fostering unity and cultural awareness. Traditional customs, including reverence toward nature and gratitude for food and cattle, highlighted the spiritual and ethical essence of Indian festivals.

Through these celebrations, students learned that Sankranti is not merely a festival but a spiritual reminder to elevate thoughts, actions, and character, aligning life with values of service, devotion, and self-discipline.
