As part of the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, Tirupati joyfully organized a vibrant Ganesh Clay Making Competition along with inspiring pre-celebration activities in honor of Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and symbol of intellect.

All the children participated enthusiastically, showcasing their creativity, devotion, and artistic talent by sculpting beautiful, eco-friendly clay idols of Lord Ganesha. This activity not only celebrated artistic expression but also raised awareness about the importance of protecting our environment.

Adding to the excitement, the students also performed a meaningful skit depicting the legendary story of Lord Ganesha and Lord Kartikeya — a tale that emphasizes wisdom, humility, and devotion.

The story beautifully portrayed a friendly quarrel between the two divine brothers, Ganesha and Kartikeya, about who was greater. To settle the question, their parents — Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati — proposed a challenge: to circle the world three times. While Kartikeya set off swiftly on his peacock, Ganesha, known for his wisdom, simply circled his parents, saying “For me, my parents are my entire world.” Touched by this profound understanding, they declared Ganesha the winner.

The skit left the audience both entertained and enlightened, highlighting moral values, devotion to parents, and the deeper meaning of true knowledge.

This entire celebration was filled with joy, learning, and devotion — a perfect reflection of the Gurukul’s mission to nurture cultural heritage, spiritual growth, and holistic development in students.

As we prepare to welcome Ganpati Bappa into our lives, these moments remind us of the importance of tradition, wisdom, and love.
