Yoga for self and society .
Yoga (yoh -gha) , is derived from the Sanskrit word yuj, which means ‘to yoke’ or ‘to unite.’ The practice seeks to unite the body, mind, and spirit, as well as the personal and universal awareness and consciousness. To educate the world regarding the advantages of yoga and how it can affect our lives overall, we celebrate International Yoga Day / World Yoga Day on 21 June every year.
On 21 June 2024 ,all gurukulites of NTPC LARA assembled in school premises at 7.30 am. Special assembly was scheduled for the entire school to envisage them about the importance of Yoga in their everyday life.
As the tradition says, the programme started with a prayer and continued with the introduction of Yoga and its needs in day to day life. The Physical Education Trainer,
Mr. Shekhar Sahu welcomed the chief guest, Ms.Yogini, Chief female trainer of Chhattisgarh Yoga Association Women’s Project. And she serves as the district coordinator for the Women’s Patanjali Yoga Committee in Sarangarh.
Really it was an outstanding performance by the instructor. The Yoga instructor fascinated the school community with various Yoga Poses. The instructor started with SURYA NAMASKAR and ASANAS along with its detailed explanation. All students as well as teaching and non teaching staff participated the session wholeheartedly.
Yogic jogging was followed by Music Work Out. The mind blowing experience was curtailed with Shanti Mantra by the instructor.
Dr. B.Nagaraja Naik ,Principal of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School ,honored the yoga instructor with a shawl and a momentum as a mark of respect and gratitude.
