*Independence Day Celebration*

The 78th Independence Day celebration at our school – Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School – was a vibrant and patriotic event that brought together students, teachers, and parents to honour the spirit of freedom and independence.

The ceremony commenced with the *welcoming of the Chief Guest, Shri. Stendhal Sinha, who was received with great enthusiasm. Following the warm reception, Shri. Sinha, accompanied by the Principal, performed the **garlanding of Bharat Mata and the statues of our revered Freedom Fighters*. This act was a tribute to the sacrifices made by those who fought for the nation’s freedom.

The next significant moment was the *Flag Hoisting Ceremony, where the Chief Guest proudly unfurled the national flag. As the tricolour soared high, the entire gathering stood in unison to sing the National Anthem*, instilling a deep sense of patriotism among everyone present.

The cultural program began with a *patriotic song performed by the students. Their melodious voices resonated with the emotions of the day, setting the tone for the celebration. This was followed by an inspiring **speech by the students, who eloquently expressed their love for the country and the importance of independence. Another **song by a talented student* captivated the audience, further enhancing the patriotic fervour.

The young students from *classes 1 and 3 then took the stage for a dance performance*. Their innocent enthusiasm and colourful costumes added a delightful charm to the celebration.

In recognition of creativity and involvement from the parents, prizes were distributed to the winners of the *online Slogan Writing Competition*. This competition saw active participation from parents, and the winning slogans were a testament to their dedication to the theme of Independence.

One of the highlights of the event was the *mime act titled ‘Parenting Paradox’*, performed by a group of talented individuals. The mime artistically depicted the challenges and rewards of parenting in modern times, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

The event continued with a *speech by the Chief Guest, Shri. Stendhal Sinha*, who shared his thoughts on the significance of Independence Day and the responsibilities that come with freedom. His words were both inspiring and thought-provoking, urging everyone to contribute positively to the nation’s progress.

Following this, the *Principal addressed the gathering*. He spoke about the importance of instilling patriotic values in students and the role of education in shaping responsible citizens.

The celebration concluded with a *dramatic dance performance* that encapsulated the journey of India’s struggle for freedom. The performers received a standing ovation for their powerful and emotive portrayal.

Finally, the *Vote of Thanks* was delivered, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event. The day ended on a high note, with the audience feeling a renewed sense of pride in being Indian.
