On *October 2, in conjunction with the birth anniversary of **Mahatma Gandhi, the students of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School organized a **Swachhata Abhiyan* (cleanliness drive) as part of their commitment to Gandhiji’s vision of a clean and hygienic India. The Gurukulites embarked on a mission to clean the *Shiv Temple* located near the institution, exemplifying the principles of community service and environmental responsibility.
Under the guidance of teachers *Ms. Akansha Verma, **Ms. Sanjulata Nayak, and **Ms. Bhagyashree*, all students actively participated in the cleaning session. Equipped with brooms, gloves, and garbage bags, the students enthusiastically cleaned the temple premises and surrounding areas. They worked together to remove litter, clear weeds, and tidy up the environment, ensuring the temple was spotless by the end of the session.
The initiative not only helped beautify the local area but also instilled a sense of civic responsibility and teamwork among the students. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of cleanliness in maintaining both physical and spiritual well-being, aligning perfectly with *Mahatma Gandhi’s* teachings on the role of hygiene in nation-building. The event concluded with a sense of pride and accomplishment, as the students contributed to their community in a meaningful way.
