Children’s Day Celebration at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School (SSGIS)

Children’s Day was celebrated with joy and charm at SSGIS, creating a delightful and memorable experience for both students and teachers. The program was filled with thoughtful activities and lively performances, emphasizing the importance of childhood and the joy of learning.

Morning Assembly Led by Teachers

The day began with a special Morning Assembly conducted entirely by the teachers, surprising and delighting the students. Each teacher played a role in the assembly, bringing a unique element to the celebration:

Anchor: Mr. Vikas hosted the assembly, keeping the atmosphere cheerful and engaging.

Thought for the Day: Ms. Bhagyashree Borkhade shared an insightful thought, encouraging students to cherish their childhood and make the most of their school years.

News Update: Mr. Shekhar Kumar Sahu presented the latest news, keeping students informed and connected to current events.

Interesting Facts: Ms. Sanjulata Nayak entertained the students with fun facts, sparking their curiosity and love for knowledge.

Significance of the Day: Mr. Pankaj Dixit spoke about the importance of Children’s Day and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s love for children, emphasizing the values of kindness and imagination.

General Knowledge: Ms. Divyanshi Singh engaged students with an interactive GK session, making the assembly more lively and educational.

Pledge: Mr. Dushyant Sav led everyone in the pledge, fostering a sense of unity and dedication among the students.

Role of School Head Boy: Head Boy Mr. Dev Balaram Muni spoke a few words, adding a sense of pride and motivation to the day’s celebrations.

The assembly began with a prayer led by the teachers, followed by an Aarti, which created a peaceful and respectful atmosphere. The Principal then garlanded the images of Lord Swaminarayan and “Chachaji” (Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru), honoring both spiritual and national figures who inspire values of love, kindness, and wisdom.

Drawing Competition

During the 4th and 5th periods, a drawing competition was organized for all students from LKG to 10th grade in the school auditorium. Students expressed their creativity on topics suited to each age group, filling the room with color and imagination as they celebrated the essence of childhood through art.

Teacher Performances

In the 6th and 7th periods, teachers put on fantastic performances, thrilling the students with their talent and energy:

Fusion Dance: Ms. Krishna Shivhare and Ms. Divyanshi Singh performed a lively fusion dance (3 minutes), which captivated the audience with its dynamic rhythm and joyful spirit.

Skit by Gents Staff: The male staff presented a humorous and thought-provoking skit (7 minutes), leaving the students both entertained and inspired.

Surprise Dance: A surprise dance performance (3.5 minutes) kept the excitement high, adding an unexpected delight to the celebration.

Group Dance by Gents Staff: The male staff also performed a group dance (5 minutes), showcasing their enthusiasm and bringing smiles to everyone’s faces.

Grand Finale and Gift Distribution

The program concluded with an open dance, where students and teachers joined together on the floor, dancing freely and joyfully. This open dance created an unforgettable bonding moment, filled with laughter and happiness.

Afterward, sweets were distributed to all students, adding a sweet note to the end of the celebration. Teachers also gifted various items to students as tokens of love and appreciation, making the children feel valued and cherished on this special day.
