Today, we celebrated Earth Day with a series of meaningful and creative activities across various classes, fostering awareness about environmental conservation and sustainability.
Class 5 started the day with a vibrant Fancy Dress Competition, where students creatively embodied the 3R Concept – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Each student chose a theme from these three principles and dressed up accordingly, promoting eco-friendly habits. The students’ costumes were not only colourful but also carried an important message about how we can protect our planet through simple actions. After the fancy dress performance, the students participated in a sapling plantation drive under the supervision of Ms. Yashodhara Dixit and Dr. B. Nagaraja Naik. The initiative of planting saplings helped the students connect with nature and contribute directly to a greener world.
In Class 4, the students showcased their creativity by engaging in a Slogan Writing Activity centred around Earth Day. Each student wrote impactful slogans such as “Save Earth, Save Life!” and “Green Earth, Clean Earth!”. The activity allowed them to express their thoughts and feelings about the importance of protecting the environment through words.
Class 6 took part in Clay Modelling under the guidance of Mr. Manoj Pradhan. The students moulded clay into various shapes, such as trees, animals, and environmental symbols, symbolizing their connection to the Earth and their commitment to preserving nature. Clay art served as a fun yet educational way for the students to learn more about nature and environmental issues.
The Earth Day activities were a great success in raising awareness and instilling a sense of responsibility in the students. Every class participated actively, demonstrating that even the smallest actions can make a big difference in creating a sustainable future.
