The festival of Dussehra was celebrated with great zeal and devotion at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School on 30th September 2025 in the school campus. The day’s program commenced with a sacred Arti performed by our Respected Principal, Dr. B. Nagaraja Naik, along with the Chief Guest, Madam Samiksha Mittal, invoking divine blessings for all.
This was followed by a melodious Bhajan presented by the music teacher, which created a spiritual and joyous atmosphere among the gatherings. Afterwards, Madam Samiksha Mittal addressed the students and highlighted the significance of Navratri and Dussehra, emphasizing the eternal message of the victory of good over evil.
A special presentation was showcased by nine girls of Class 2, who were beautifully dressed as the nine forms of Goddess Durga. Their representation of the goddesses added colour and divinity to the celebration, leaving the audience inspired.
The Principal Sir greeted and motivated the students with his encouraging words, urging them to imbibe values of courage, truth, and discipline in their daily lives. As a token of love and respect, the Chief Guest was felicitated by the Principal, which added grace to the occasion.
In the latter part of the celebration, the last two periods were dedicated to an open dance session. Students from Classes 1 to 10, along with teachers, actively participated and danced with immense enthusiasm to festive and devotional beats. The rhythmic movements and cheerful energy of both students and teachers filled the campus with joy and vibrancy.
The program concluded on a memorable note, spreading the message of unity, festivity, and the triumph of righteousness over evil. It was indeed a day of celebration where every Gurukulite experienced the true essence of tradition, devotion, and togetherness.
