When Courage Walked the Campus – Rani of Jhansi Day

The birth anniversary of Rani Lakshmibai, the brave Rani of Jhansi, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School. The programme aimed to honour the courage, determination, and sacrifice of one of India’s most inspiring freedom fighters.

The event began with paying floral tribute to the great warrior queen. Respected Principal Sir, Dr. B. Nagaraja Naik, along with teachers and students, garlanded the portrait of Rani Lakshmibai, marking the start of the celebration with reverence and pride.

One of the highlights of the programme was a captivating performance by Miss Aradhya of Class 2, who dressed up as Manikarnika (Rani Lakshmibai). She beautifully portrayed the queen’s heroic spirit through expressive actions and powerful dialogues, leaving the audience mesmerized. Her performance truly brought the legendary figure to life for the young viewers.

To enrich the students’ understanding, Mrs. Janhawi Pradhan addressed the gathering and shared the significance of the day, explaining the valour, leadership, and patriotism embodied by Rani Lakshmibai. Her message inspired students to uphold bravery, confidence, and responsibility in their lives.

Through this celebration, students not only paid tribute to the iconic warrior queen but also added one more feather of knowledge to their bag, learning about India’s rich history and the sacrifices made for the nation’s freedom.
