Blueprint of Democracy – Constitution Day

Published On: November 26, 2025

SSGIS celebrated Constitution Day with great enthusiasm and respect, honouring the spirit and values enshrined in the Indian Constitution. The program began with Ms. Susama Pradhan, who addressed the gathering and explained the significance of Constitution Day, highlighting its history, the framing of the Constitution, and the dedication of the Constituent Assembly. Her insightful words helped students understand the importance of the day and the great responsibility each citizen holds.

Students of Classes 9 and 4 took the stage to display and discuss the Fundamental Duties and Fundamental Rights. Their presentations were informative and engaging, helping everyone reflect upon the principles that guide us as responsible citizens of India.

A demonstration of the Constitution book was shown to the students, allowing them to visually connect with the document that forms the backbone of India’s governance and democracy. This created an enriching learning experience and deepened their respect for the Constitution.

The programme concluded with a collective Preamble Oath-taking, where all students and staff recited the Preamble with pride and sincerity. This served as a reminder of the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity that our nation stands upon.

Later, class teachers continued the celebration by discussing the Constitution in their respective classes. They shared their views on its development, key features, and relevance in our daily lives, ensuring that students gained a thorough understanding of the topic.

Overall, the Constitution Day celebration at SSGIS was not only informative but also inspiring, encouraging every student to embrace the responsibilities of being an aware and responsible citizen of India.
