Rhythm of Righteousness – Gita Jayanti Celebration

Gita Jayanti was celebrated with great devotion and spiritual fervour at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School on 1st December, marking the auspicious Margashirsha Shukla Paksha Ekadashi, the sacred day on which the Bhagavad Gita was revealed to the world. The event beautifully reflected the school’s commitment to values, culture, and the teachings of our ancient scriptures.

The program commenced with a graceful dance performance by the students of Class 5, symbolising the eternal message of the Gita – the victory of righteousness and the path of selfless duty under the guidance of Ms. Janhawi Prdhan and Ms, Sanjulata Nayak. Their expressive movements and vibrant expressions set a divine tone for the entire celebration.

This was followed by a brief yet insightful description of the significance of Gita Jayanti by Mr. Babaji Pradhan. He highlighted how the Bhagavad Gita continues to guide humanity with its timeless wisdom, teaching the principles of Dharma, discipline, inner strength, and the importance of performing one’s duty without attachment.

The atmosphere further elevated when Mr. Yashwant Vishwakarma, the music teacher, presented a soul-stirring Bhajan from the Bhagavad Gita. His melodious rendition filled the space with serenity and devotion. All students enthusiastically joined in as they repeated and recited the verses, making the moment spiritually enriching and memorable for everyone present.

The celebration concluded with a sense of peace and reflection, inspiring young learners to imbibe the teachings of the Gita in their daily lives. The entire program stood as a reminder of the invaluable cultural and moral values that form the foundation of SSGIS.
