Vasant Panchami & Netaji Jayanti Celebration

Published On: January 23, 2026

The school campus was filled with a sense of pride and devotion as we celebrated the birth anniversary of the legendary freedom fighter, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, alongside Vasant Panchami, the festival dedicated to Goddess Saraswati on 23rd January.

The morning commenced with the auspicious celebration of Vasant Panchami. Students and staff gathered to seek the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, the deity of knowledge, music, and art by offering flowers and fruits.

The Ritual: The atmosphere was sanctified with the chanting of sacred shlokas.
Prasadam: Following the prayers, sweets were distributed among the students, symbolizing the sweetness of learning and the grace of the Goddess. Master Devansh of class 2 brought fruits and pooja items to offer Goddess Saraswati.

The focus then shifted to the 129th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The program aimed to instil the values of courage and selfless service in the young minds.

The formal ceremony began with the garlanding of Netaji’s portrait by our Respected Principal, Dr. B. Nagaraja Naik, accompanied by members of the teaching faculty and student representatives.

In a touching tribute, Master Prem Prateek Pradhan of class 5 dressed as Netaji, capturing the iconic look of the leader. He delivered a spirited speech, bringing Netaji’s words to life and reminding everyone of the sacrifices made for India’s independence.

Educational Insights: To deepen the students’ understanding, Ms. Harmeet Kaur shared a detailed “Lifeline of Netaji,” highlighting his journey from a brilliant student to the Commander of the Indian National Army (INA).

Principal Dr. B. Nagaraja Naik addressed the assembly with a powerful speech. He encouraged students to embody Netaji’s discipline and the intellectual curiosity represented by Goddess Saraswati. His words served as a catalyst, igniting a sense of purpose and national duty within the student body.

The program concluded on a profound note with one of Netaji’s most famous quotes:
”One individual may die for an idea, but that idea will, after his death, incarnate itself in a thousand lives.”

This celebration was not just a look back at history but a step toward building a future rooted in both cultural values and patriotic fervor.
