The Track Attack: Where Speed Meets Spirit- Annual Sports Meet 2026 | Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School

On January 31st, 2026, the school grounds erupted with energy and pride as we celebrated our Annual Sports Day. The event commenced with a grand welcome for the Chief Guest, Dr. B Nagaraja Naik, who was escorted by a guard of honor including Master Tushar Choudhary, Master Devashish Sharma, Master Swastik Panda, and Master Samar Choudhary. Accompanied by the rhythmic precision of the school band, led by Master Agnivesh Chauhan and Ms. B Sejal Naik, the Chief Guest joined teachers and students to light the ceremonial lamp. A significant highlight followed when the Principal handed over the marshal to our elite athletes who represented the school at the CBSE Clusters, symbolizing a passing of the torch to the next generation of competitors.
The atmosphere was further electrified by a spectacular performance from the students of Class 4. They presented a creative fusion dance that integrated martial arts movements with sports-themed music, perfectly bridging the gap between artistic expression and physical discipline. This performance served as the perfect curtain-raiser for the athletic events, which kicked off with the high-stakes 100-meter sprints for the youngest students in Class 1. The crowd’s enthusiasm set a high bar for the intense competitions that followed throughout the day.
The sporting schedule featured a comprehensive range of track and field events, testing the versatility of our athletes. Students competed fiercely in the 100m and 200m races, the 100m hurdle race, and the grueling 4x200m relay. On the field, power and precision were on display during the Javelin, Discus, and Shot Put events, while the Sack Race added a touch of classic fun to the competitive mix. Every participant displayed exceptional sportsmanship, fighting for every single point to elevate their respective houses in the overall standings.
In a thrilling conclusion to the day, the championship title came down to the final events. Rugveda House demonstrated remarkable consistency and grit, ultimately bagging the trophy and successfully retaining their title for 2026. Samaveda House followed closely as the Runner-up, having pushed the champions to the limit. The day ended with a sense of collective achievement, celebrating not just the winners, but the spirit of health, discipline, and unity that defines our school community.
