Art, Heritage, and Discovery A Day at Ektal Village

Published On: February 27, 2026

On Friday, students from Classes 1A, 1B, and 2 at SSGIS embarked on an enriching educational journey to Ektal Village to explore the traditional art of “Jhara Shilp.” Guided by the vision of our Respected Principal, Dr. B. Nagaraja Naik, the visit provided a unique platform for young learners to observe heritage craftsmanship firsthand. To ensure a safe and supportive environment, the students were accompanied and mentored by our dedicated faculty members: Ms. Krishna Shivhare, Ms. Reeta Panda, Mr. Vikas Gupta, and Mr. Dushyant Singh Sao.
At SSGIS, we believe that true education must transcend the four walls of a classroom to foster holistic growth. By immersing themselves in village life, our students gained a deeper understanding of community living and local practices, effectively bridging the gap between theoretical lessons and real-world experiences. This initiative was specifically designed to spark curiosity, build social awareness, and enhance teamwork and confidence through active observation and interaction with the local environment.
We remain committed to providing our students with well-organized and enriching opportunities that nurture their development beyond academics. We extend our sincere gratitude to our supportive parents for their continued trust and cooperation in these endeavors. Together, we are proud to create these memorable learning journeys that shape our students into well-rounded and informed individuals.
