Ambedkar’s Legacy Honored At SSGIS

The celebration of Ambedkar Jayanti at SSGIS was marked by deep reverence and academic enthusiasm as the school paid tribute to the Father of the Indian Constitution. The festivities commenced with a solemn ceremony where the portrait of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was garlanded, signaling the start of a day dedicated to his enduring legacy. To engage the students and foster a deeper understanding of his contributions, the school organized a diverse array of competitions. These included Fancy Dress and Painting for younger creative minds, alongside Essay Writing, Elocution, and Quote Writing, which allowed students to articulate their thoughts on social justice and equality.

A significant highlight of the event was a poignant skit that vividly showcased the life struggles and triumphs of Dr. Ambedkar. Under the expert guidance of Ms. Janhawi Pradhan, Mr. Pankaj Dixit, and Mr. Babajee Pradhan, the performance moved the audience by depicting the challenges Bhimrao Raoji Ambedkar overcame to empower the marginalized. This dramatic representation was further complemented by a vibrant dance performance, choreographed and supervised by Ms. Sanjulata Nayak and Ms. Reeta Panda, which added a rhythmic and celebratory spirit to the occasion.

The entire programme was executed with precision and grace, reflecting the school’s commitment to honoring national icons. Under the overall supervision of the Principal, Dr. B. Nagaraja Naik, the event successfully blended cultural expression with educational reflection. By integrating various artistic disciplines and intellectual challenges, the celebration not only honored the memory of Dr. Ambedkar but also inspired the student body to uphold the values of constitutional integrity and perseverance that he championed throughout his life.
