Insignia Of Integrity: Celebrating Our Student Leaders

The Investiture Ceremony for the 2026-27 academic session at SSGIS, NTPC Lara, was a momentous occasion held on Thursday, July 9, 2026. The program began with a spiritually uplifting aarti performed by the school cabinet members, followed by a warm welcome from Mr. Pinku Charan Sahu in the auditorium. The school was honored to host the Chief Guest, Shri Mahaveer Singh, DC, NTPC Lara, who was formally received by Principal Dr. B. Nagaraja Naik with a floral bouquet and a token of respect, setting a tone of unity and purpose for the day.

The highlight of the ceremony was the formal Insignia Ceremony, where the Chief Guest and the Principal bestowed badges and sashes upon the newly elected student leaders. Master Devashish Sharma and Ms. Vidya Gupta were inducted as Head Boy and Head Girl, respectively, alongside Sports Captain Master Oham Jaiswal and Vice-Captain Master Atharv Mishra. The leadership team also included dedicated captains and vice-captains for the four houses—Rigveda, Atharvaveda, Yajurveda, and Samaveda—alongside their respective House In-charge teachers. The induction concluded with the school cabinet members taking their solemn oath, officially assuming their roles as the torchbearers for the year.

Beyond the installation of student leadership, the event served as a platform to celebrate academic and competitive brilliance. Students Prem Prateek, Sammar Kumar, and Debapriya Behera were felicitated by the Chief Guest and the Principal for their remarkable achievements in NSO and SOF competitions, receiving certificates, medals, and recognition for their hard work. The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Ms. Reeta Panda, leaving the newly appointed leaders inspired and ready to embrace their responsibilities as they embark on their duties for the 2026-27 academic year.
