Honoring Our Roots A Memorable Founder’s Day And Rath Yatra

On Wednesday, July 15, 2026, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School (SGIS) observed a spiritually enriching and vibrant celebration, marking both Rath Yatra and the institution’s Founder’s Day. The day began immediately following the morning school prayer with a special Arti and Puja ceremony conducted under the esteemed leadership of the school’s Principal, Dr. B. Nagaraj Naik. Following these spiritual proceedings, Mr. Pankaj Dixit addressed the assembly to provide an inspiring overview of the history and significance of Founder’s Day, helping students and staff reflect on the foundational values and vision that continue to guide the school.

The cultural program featured an engaging skit presented by the students of Class 7, which beautifully highlighted the importance and legend of Lord Jagannath. By bringing the story of Rath Yatra to life, the students provided their peers with a deeper understanding of the festival’s rich traditions and historical context. This performance was followed by a powerful moment of collective devotion as both teachers and students gathered to chant mantras 108 times, creating an atmosphere of profound unity and meditation throughout the school.
