The atmosphere at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul resonated with deep national pride as the institution celebrated the 80th Independence Day with immense zeal and devotion. The event commenced with Dr. B Nagaraja Naik extending a warm, traditional welcome to the esteemed chief guest, Shri Hemant Pavge, honoring him with a floral bouquet, a shawl, and an Independence Day badge. In a touching tribute to the nation’s heroes, the chief guest and the Principal Sir garlanded the freedom fighters, setting a solemn and reverent tone for the day’s festivities.

The highlight of the morning unfolded as Shri Hemant Pavge hoisted the national flag, guided by the crisp commands of the physical education teacher, prompting a stirring moment of unity as everyone present proudly saluted the tri-color. Following an engaging welcome speech by Ms. Sheetal Sona, the stage came alive with a vibrant lineup of student performances. Class 6 students delivered an energetic dumbbell display, which was complemented by eloquent speeches delivered in English by Master Shivam Gupta and in Hindi by Master Prem Sagar Thethwar. The musical interludes—featuring a soul-stirring patriotic song accompanied by skilled guitarists and keyboardist—alongside eye-catching, wonderful dance performances by students of classes 6 and 7, left the audience completely spellbound.

The celebration also took a moment to honor academic excellence by felicitating the bright academic toppers of the 2025-26 session for their hard work and dedication. Following an inspiring and motivating address to the gathering by the chief guest, Ms. Sanjana Yadav delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who made the event a grand success. The memorable morning concluded on a sweet note of camaraderie and joy with the traditional distribution of sweets to all attendees.
