The Math Week celebrations at SSGIS, which began on September 21, culminated in an eventful Mega Event Day on September 25, 2026. The festivities opened with a graceful dance performance followed by an informative and thoughtful skit titled ‘The Court Room,’ where various academic subjects debated their importance before concluding that no subject can exist without mathematics. The stage program also featured an engaging classwise riddle session, after which the winners were felicitated and awarded on stage by the Principal, Dr. B. Nagaraja Naik.
Complementing the stage performances, the day featured a wide array of creative, grade-wise competitions designed to make learning interactive. The activities ranged from foundational challenges like Grade 1’s ‘Climb the Math Steps’ and mixed-operation crossword puzzles for Grades 2 and 3, to analytical and practical tasks such as Grade 4’s symmetry detective challenge, Grade 5’s code cracking, and Grade 6’s mystery challenge. Upper classes further tested their skills through the Grade 7 champions race, a strategic Grade 8 mathematics auction, Grade 9 a treasure hunt. All activities made the students to improve their thinking skills as well as their sportive practical skills.
