Parent’s Smile Day was joyfully celebrated on Children’s Day at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, with the heartfelt purpose of honouring students and bringing smiles to their faces. The event beautifully blended appreciation, encouragement, and celebration, making it a memorable day for students, parents, and teachers alike.

The programme began with a warm welcome extended to the Chief Guest of the day, Mr. Kesav Chandra Singha Roy, GM (O&M), accompanied by Mr. Sunil Jha, AGM (C&M). Respected Principal Dr. B. Nagaraja Naik greeted the dignitaries with a bouquet and a shawl as a token of love and respect. With the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, the event commenced on an auspicious and graceful note.

To mark the beginning of the cultural segment, students presented a soothing Welcome Song under the guidance of the Music Teacher. This was followed by a captivating welcome dance performed by Prakriti Agrawal of Class 6, which set a vibrant tone for the programme.

The school proudly honoured the extraordinary achievements of its students. Regional Level winners of the CBSE Regional Science Exhibition, Ms. Sejal Naik and Ms. Shambhavi Singh, were felicitated along with their mentors, Ms. Shresthashree Ratha and Mr. Pradyumn Sharaf, for their dedication and innovative efforts.

Following this, the stage was set to celebrate the State Level Kala Utsav winner, K. Harshita, who was honoured along with her supporters, Master Chhayank Vishwakarma and Mr. Yashwant Vishwakarma, for their consistent encouragement and support.

The most delightful segment of the event was the felicitation of the G-Star Achievers from Classes 1 to 9. Each achiever was honoured with a certificate and a trophy, presented by the Chief Guests as a token of appreciation for their hard work, discipline, and performance. The sparkling smiles of the children reflected their pride and happiness.

The chief guest, Mr. Kesav Chandra Singha Roy, addressed the gathering with his valuable words, appreciating not only the winners but the collective efforts of all students. Mr. Sunil Jha inspired the children with his motivating message, encouraging them to continue striving for excellence. Respected Principal Sir, Dr. B. Nagaraja Naik, guided the students with his igniting and thought-provoking words, reminding them of the importance of discipline, sincerity, and aiming high.

Parents were then invited to share their thoughts, and their heartfelt testimonials added warmth and depth to the celebration, reflecting their appreciation for the school’s efforts and the growth of their children.

The programme gracefully concluded with the National Song, filling the hall with a sense of pride and unity. The celebration left the children feeling proud, cherished, and immensely happy.
