A Symphony of Gratitude – Teacher’s Day Celebration

Published On: September 6, 2025

The Teachers’ Day celebration at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School was conducted in a vibrant and memorable manner by the students of Class 10. The entire program was filled with respect, joy, and entertainment, leaving unforgettable memories for both teachers and students.

The day began with a special morning assembly organized and conducted by the students of Class 10. They took the responsibility of anchoring, managing the proceedings, and even stepping into the shoes of their teachers for the day. The students went to their allotted classes as “student teachers” and handled the lessons with confidence and enthusiasm. Their classmates, too, thoroughly enjoyed this unique experience of learning from their peers and welcomed the refreshing change of seeing new faces in their classrooms.

As a gesture of gratitude, the Class 10 students offered a treat to the teachers, symbolizing their love and appreciation. After the refreshments, the school resumed for two regular periods, after which the much-awaited cultural program commenced.

The cultural celebration began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and garlanding of Lord Swaminarayan and Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, paying homage to the guiding spirits of knowledge and wisdom. The program was gracefully hosted by Miss Renu Patel, who welcomed everyone warmly.

The stage came alive with vibrant performances. First, a soulful solo song by K. Harshika set the tone of the event, filling the atmosphere with melody and devotion. Following this, the entire Class 10 group presented a marvellous dance performance, showcasing their unity, creativity, and talent, which was met with loud applause from the audience.

Adding to the charm of the event, the students performed a theatrical skit that recreated school life, compared it with college life, and highlighted the unique role and value of school teachers in shaping the lives of children—something that stands distinct from lecturers in higher education. This act deeply touched the hearts of the audience, leaving teachers emotional and proud.

The celebration also included fun-filled games organized exclusively for male staff, female staff, and even in a house-wise competition format. These games brought cheer and laughter, breaking the usual routine and giving teachers a chance to relive their childhood spirit. To add more delight, the teachers and the Class 10 students joined hands and presented a joyful dance together, symbolizing the bond between guru and shishya.

A special highlight of the day was the announcement of the “Best Student Teacher.” The award was presented by Dr. B. Nagaraja Naik, Principal of SSGIS, who appreciated the efforts, confidence, and dedication of the students in carrying out their roles.

The program concluded on a high note, leaving behind unforgettable moments for both teachers and students. The celebrations not only strengthened the bond between students and teachers but also served as a reminder of the immense respect, love, and gratitude that students hold for their mentors.
