Beyond Duties Into Legacy – Farewell to our Mentor

Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School organized a solemn and heartfelt felicitation ceremony on 27th November 2025 to honor Shri Ravi Shankar, CGM, esteemed SMC Member, and Vice Chairman, as he approaches his retirement this month. The event was conducted with deep respect, devotion, and gratitude for his invaluable contributions to the institution.

The program commenced with a serene and auspicious Aarti, creating a spiritual ambiance befitting the occasion. Respected Principal Sir, Dr. B. Nagaraja Naik, along with Shri Ravi Shankar Sir, offered garlands to Lord Swaminarayan in the presence of students, invoking blessings and marking the beginning of the ceremony. This was followed by Dhandavat and a soulful bhajan, enhancing the devotional mood of the gathering.

In a touching gesture of appreciation, Shri Ravi Shankar Sir personally congratulated the Math Mega Event winners, inspiring them by presenting their certificates. His presence and words of encouragement filled the young achievers with pride and motivation.

The highlight of the ceremony was the felicitation of Shri Ravi Shankar Sir by Respected Principal Sir. Dr. B. Nagaraja Naik honored him with a memento and a shawl (case) as a token of love, respect, and admiration for his dedicated service, leadership, and unwavering support to the Gurukul.

In his address to the Gurukulites, Shri Ravi Shankar Sir delivered insightful and heartfelt thoughts, reflecting on values, discipline, and the importance of holistic development. His words resonated deeply not only with the students but also with the teachers, who felt uplifted and inspired by his guidance.

The ceremony served as a beautiful expression of gratitude, celebrating the legacy of a visionary leader whose association has enriched the institution in many ways. Shri Ravi Shankar Sir’s contributions, wisdom, and presence will always remain cherished by the entire Gurukul family.
