Crowning the Guardians of Gurukul

In a moment brimming with pride and promise, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School held its prestigious Investiture Ceremony, coinciding with the Independence Day celebrations. The event marked the formal installation of the newly elected Student Council for the academic year, handpicked for their dedication, leadership qualities, and commitment to the school’s values.

The ceremony began with the principal, Dr. B. Nagaraja Naik, and the Chief Guest, Shri Ravi Shankar, GM Project, NTPC LARA, investing the council members with badges and sashes These symbols, as the Principal reminded, “are not just decorations but emblems of trust, commitment, and service.”

The Head Boy, Master Ved Prakash, and Head Girl, Miss Sneha Panda, were honoured as the leading faces of responsibility and discipline. Sports Captain, Master Shivam Roy, and Vice Sports Captain, Miss Ku. Anushka pledged to inspire sportsmanship and team spirit. The Discipline Captain, Miss Renu Patel, along with Vice Discipline Captain, Master Tushar Choudhary, vowed to uphold the standards of conduct across the campus.

Adding vibrancy to the school’s cultural life, Miss Devananda was appointed as the Cultural Secretary. The four houses — Samaved, Rigveda, Yajurveda, and Atharvaveda — also welcomed their captains and vice captains, each promising to lead their teams with unity and dedication.

House leadership was supported by their respective house incharges:

Atharvaveda House – Ms. Sanjulata Nayak

Yajurveda House – Mr. Pradyumn Sharaf

Samaved House – Mr. Pankaj Dixit

Rigveda House – Ms. Krishna Shivhare

The oath-taking ceremony, conducted in the presence of the Principal and Chief Guest, saw the young leaders pledge to serve with honesty, humility, and commitment.

The Chief Guest, in his address, praised the school for instilling leadership qualities in students and urged the council to lead by example. The principal encouraged the leaders to translate vision into reality and be torchbearers for their peers.

The event concluded with applause, marking the beginning of a new chapter in student leadership at SSGIS.
