Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School celebrated the 77th Republic Day with immense patriotic fervour and grandeur at the school campus. The event commenced with a majestic welcome for the Honourable Chief Guest, Shri Trilochan Patel, a distinguished educationist and literary titan along with respected Principal Dr.B.Nagaraja Naik. Led by the disciplined escort of Master Ved Prakash, Master Suyash Bhoi, Master Daksh Agrawal, and Master Shivam Roy, along with the band group led by Master Agnivesh Chauhan and Master Ashutosh, the arrival of the guests set a tone of profound Anushasana (discipline). The ceremony officially began with the unfurling of the National Flag and a powerful rendition of the National Anthem, followed by a solemn garlanding of the portraits of our freedom fighters to honor their eternal sacrifice.
The school was privileged to host Shri Trilochan Patel, a retired government lecturer whose life is a testament to academic and literary excellence. A scholar of Hindi and Odia literature, Shri Patel has authored hundreds of works, including the poetry collection of Yathavat and the exhaustive 10-volume Brahmabadhut Vaishnavacharan Granthavali His tireless devotion to the Mahima Dharma tradition and his role as a cultural bridge have earned him prestigious honours, including the Vidyaratna Award and the 2024 Kavyabatika Award.
The cultural segment was a vibrant display of talent and pride. Master Harshita Sa (Class 7) and Akshat Pradhan (Class 5) delivered stirring speeches, complemented by a soulful patriotic song and an enthralling dance performance that brought Indian heritage to life. The spirit of excellence continued with the felicitation of the PA-3 G-Star Achievers, who were awarded badges for their academic brilliance.
Adding a layer of physical prowess, the school celebrated its recent triumph at the National Karate Championship in Jammu. Beyond the individual glory of our medalists—including Gold medalist Shreeja Chaurasia, Silver medalist Nakul Sushil Borkhade, and our seven Bronze warriors—the school was honored to receive the Overall 2nd Runner-Up Trophy. This achievement is a tribute to the disciplined mentorship of Sensei G. S. Star, whose expert guidance has instilled a true ‘warrior spirit’ in our students.
