The sacred and joyous occasion of Founder’s Day and Rath Yatra was celebrated with immense devotion and enthusiasm on 26th June 2025 at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School.
The celebration began on a spiritual note with a soulful prayer, followed by a special puja performed in honour of Lord Swaminarayan, Lord Jagannath, and Shri Shastriji Maharaj, the revered founder of the Gurukul tradition. The idols were gracefully garlanded by the respected Principal Dr. B. Nagaraja Naik, Shri Vikas Gupta, and Mr. Babaji Pradhan, who also led the gathering in offering heartfelt prayers, seeking blessings for all.
A meaningful and inspiring speech was delivered by Mr. Babaji Pradhan, highlighting the life, teachings, and invaluable contributions of Shastriji Maharaj to the Gurukul system. His words filled the atmosphere with reverence and inspired everyone to walk on the path of righteousness laid down by the great spiritual leader.
A melodious musical presentation was offered by the students under the able guidance of Mr. Yashwant Vishwakarma. The devotional songs enhanced the spiritual ambience of the event and showcased the students’ musical talents, leaving the audience mesmerized.
The stage was then graced by Ms. Shresthashree, who delivered a detailed explanation on the significance of Rath Yatra and its connection with Lord Jagannath. Her enlightening speech educated the students about the deep cultural and religious value behind the grand festival celebrated across India.
One of the most captivating segments of the program was a dramatic skit presented by the students under the supervision of Mr. Pankaj Dixit. The performance beautifully depicted the childhood of Shri Shastriji Maharaj, portraying his spiritual inclination and virtuous character from an early age. The skit was both educational and entertaining, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.
Respected Principal Dr. B. Nagaraja Naik then took the stage and addressed the students, enlightening them with words of wisdom and encouraging them to follow the principles of humility, devotion, and service as taught by the Gurukul founders.
The celebration concluded with the distribution of Prasadam, marking the end of a spiritually enriching and memorable event.
