Guru Purnima Celebration: A Reverent Tribute to Teachers
Guru Purnima, a day dedicated to expressing gratitude to teachers and mentors, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence at our school. The event was marked by a series of performances and speeches that highlighted the importance of teachers in shaping young minds.
Prayer by Students
The celebration began with a heartfelt prayer by the students, setting a serene and respectful tone for the day. The prayer, filled with devotion and reverence, was a beautiful reminder of the sacred bond between students and their gurus.
Lighting of the Lamp and Garlanding Ceremony
The ceremonial lighting of the lamp was performed by our esteemed Principal, Dr. B. Nagaraja Naik, and Mr. Vikas Gupta, along with other respected teachers. This act symbolized the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge and wisdom. Following this, a garlanding ceremony was conducted, honoring the presence and guidance of our dedicated educators.
Speech on the Significance of Guru Purnima
Ashi Agrawal, a talented student, delivered an insightful speech on the significance of Guru Purnima. She eloquently explained the historical and cultural importance of this day, emphasizing the pivotal role that teachers play in our lives. Her speech was a tribute to all the teachers who inspire and guide their students with unwavering dedication.
Classical Dance Performance
The event was further enlivened by a mesmerizing classical dance performance by a student from Class 5. The young dancer’s graceful movements and expressive gestures captivated the audience, showcasing the beauty of classical dance and the talent nurtured within our school.
Skit: ‘Aruni ki Guru Bhakti’
A poignant skit titled ‘Aruni ki Guru Bhakti’ was performed, illustrating the importance of obeying and respecting teachers. The skit depicted the story of Aruni, whose unwavering devotion to his guru exemplified the timeless values of respect and obedience towards one’s mentor. The performance was both moving and educational, leaving a lasting impression on everyone present.
Speech by the Principal
Our Principal, Dr. B. Nagaraja Naik, then took the stage to address the gathering. In his inspiring speech, he spoke about the indispensable role of teachers in society. He acknowledged the hard work and dedication of the teaching staff and encouraged students to always honor and respect their gurus.
Musical Tribute
The celebration concluded with a melodious song performed by a group of students. The song, a heartfelt tribute to teachers, was a perfect end to the event, encapsulating the gratitude and admiration of the students towards their mentors.
