On June 5, 2026, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School (SSGIS) enthusiastically celebrated World Environment Day at the Bal Bhavan campus to foster environmental stewardship and sustainable habits. The highlight of the celebration was a hands-on plantation drive led by the Grade 10 students, who actively worked together to plant green saplings across the campus grounds. Carrying out this initiative alongside their dedicated Class Teacher and Coordinator, the senior students led by example, demonstrating the vital importance of ecosystem restoration and environmental conservation to the entire school community.
The event witnessed complete solidarity and enthusiasm from the institution, as all teaching and non-teaching staff members stepped forward to support the cause. Faculty members assisted in arranging the plantation layout, guided the students on proper planting techniques, and pledged to care for the newly planted saplings to ensure their long-term growth. This collaborative effort not only beautifully enhanced the green cover of the Balwadika campus but also provided an invaluable experiential learning opportunity, reinforcing the Gurukul’s commitment to nurturing both academic excellence and environmental responsibility.
