Small Hands, Big Hearts: Students Thank Our Doctors

Published On: July 1, 2026

The celebration of National Doctor’s Day at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School (SSGIS) on July 1, 2026, began with an inspiring morning assembly dedicated to the noble medical profession. Master Devneesh took the stage to eloquently explain the significance of the day, highlighting the tireless service, compassion, and immense sacrifices that doctors make for the well-being of society. His thoughtful speech successfully set a tone of gratitude and respect, effectively teaching the student body about the vital role healers play in our daily lives.
To turn this appreciation into a meaningful experience, a delegation consisting of Class 4 students, their class teacher, and the school coordinator visited the NTPC LARA Hospital under the expert supervision of our Principal, Dr. B. Nagaraja Naik. This outreach program was designed to provide students with a real-world perspective on the medical field, moving beyond classroom learning to foster a direct connection with local healthcare providers. Seeing the hospital environment firsthand helped the students truly grasp the dedication required by those who serve on the front lines of community health.
Upon arriving at the hospital, the students greeted the medical staff with immense enthusiasm and grace. As a token of heartfelt appreciation for their selfless service, each student presented the doctors with handmade greeting cards and fresh rose flowers. The doctors were deeply touched by this sincere gesture, which turned the visit into a memorable and emotionally resonant experience for everyone involved. This event perfectly encapsulated the Gurukul ethos by successfully instilling values of empathy, respect, and community responsibility in our young learners.
