Sweet Treats and Thoughtful Screens

The 3rd Bagless Day at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 19th April 2025, offering students yet another day filled with creativity, learning, and joyful exploration beyond textbooks.

I. ECCA Activities:
The day commenced with vibrant ECCA sessions, where students actively participated in a variety of co-curricular activities including:

Art: Students expressed their imagination using colors and different mediums.

Dance: Rhythmic movements and group choreography brought energy and joy to the atmosphere.

Music: Melodious sessions helped students explore vocals and instruments.

Karate: Focus was on discipline, self-defense, and fitness.

Basketball: Students learned team spirit and basic game techniques through drills and matches.

II. Through Our Lens: A Kid’s World – Film Screening
For students of Classes 1 to 5, a special screening of the Oscar-winning short film ‘The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse’ was organized. The beautifully illustrated story touched young hearts and conveyed deep messages of kindness, friendship, and hope.

‘The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse’ is a touching animated short film based on Charlie Mackesy’s book. It follows a young boy’s journey to find home, during which he meets a curious mole, a cautious fox, and a wise horse. . With gentle narration and beautiful visuals, the film delivers a powerful message that home is where love and acceptance are found.

III. Pottery Classes:
Students from UKG to Class 5 enjoyed hands-on experience with clay in specially arranged pottery sessions. The joy of shaping clay into creative forms helped enhance their fine motor skills and artistic expression.

IV. Spoken English Sessions:
Interactive Spoken English activities were conducted to boost students’ confidence in communication, vocabulary building, and public speaking skills.

V. From Batter to Better – Baking Class:
One of the highlights of the day was the exciting baking session titled ‘From Batter to Better’ for Classes 6 to 9. Under the guidance of Ms. Smith Suman and the supervision of Principal Dr. B. Nagaraja Naik, students learned to bake homemade cakes. The session not only enhanced their culinary skills but also gave them a taste of teamwork, hygiene, and creativity. It was truly a delightful and memorable experience.

The 3rd Bagless Day turned out to be a beautiful blend of fun, learning, and skill development, leaving students refreshed and inspired.
