When Churanta first entered Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Bangalore, he was like many modern teenagers — unaware of scriptures, disconnected from puja, and deeply attached to outside food and a non-veg culture that surrounded him every single day.

But everything shifted during the Vartman diksha ceremony when Gurumahraj Shri Devkrushnadasji Swamiji gently tied the kanthi around his neck. Immediately after, Satsangpriyadasji Swami explained the meaning of Panchvartman — purity, discipline, and a sacred lifestyle aligned with Bhagwan’s wishes.

That single satsang ignited a silent revolution within him.

From that day forward, he began reading scriptures, doing daily puja, and absorbing the wisdom of evening satsangs. Under the guidance of Satsangpriyadasji Swami & Harivallabhdasji Swami, he discovered values, clarity, focus, and inner strength he didn’t know he possessed.

Even after leaving Gurukul, he continued to follow Pujya Mahant Swami Shri Devprasaddasji Swamiji’s kathas, watch Swaminarayan Chintan, and attended satsangs on weekends — despite a demanding professional schedule.

Standing for Values in a Non-Veg

For a boy from a culture where non-veg was central to festivals, gatherings, and even daily meals, becoming the first in the family to adopt complete vegetarianism was not easy.

His mother cooked separately for him. He ate alone. Everyone else around him questioned his choice. He faced emotional, social, and cultural pushback. But he held firm — politely, respectfully, and consistently.

He refused anything that went against Panchvartman, whether it was in college canteens, outings with friends, or workplace events. His commitment was not temporary; it became his identity.

Slowly, something remarkable happened. People who once questioned him began to respect him. Friends sought him for guidance. Teachers trusted him. And his own family eventually joined him — today, when he is home, everyone willingly eats vegetarian food with him.

His life became proof of a powerful truth:
“When you stand for your values, the world adjusts.”

The Turning Point

In college, something unexpected started happening. People began describing him with one sentence:

“He is someone you can trust completely.”

This reputation became his turning point — the moment he realised that living with values is not a burden… It is a superpower.

His discipline, purity, and consistency didn’t just make him a better person — they made him a leader.
