Won the Battle of Temptation in College

It is easy to follow sanskar and morality while studying in Gurukul. The guidance, the environment, and the discipline make it natural. But once outside, the world tests every value and every principle.

Vishal, an alumnus of Gurukul Bangalore, faced one such test—one that would challenge his courage, integrity, and devotion.


During college, some of Vishal’s friends were involved in adultery and immoral acts. One day, without his consent, they took him to one of their secret gatherings.

The air was thick with laughter, whispers, and temptation. Then came the real shock. These friends proposed to Vishal that he join them in adultery. They assured him that nobody would know about it. The offer was tempting, promising excitement, acceptance, and profit.”

For a moment, it would have been easy to give in. But Vishal’s heart was guided by something stronger than peer pressure or money—his faith and the values taught in Gurukul.


Vishal thought quietly to himself:

“If someone were to do this to my sister, how would I feel? Horrified, disgusted… How can I even consider doing such things with others’ sisters? And if I give in, how will I face my Swamijis when I return to Gurukul? What will I answer them? I cannot let their faith in me fail.”

Every laugh, every tease, every pressure around him felt heavy—but he stayed calm. His faith, integrity, and courage guided his decision.


He didn’t just refuse; he made a bold choice—he walked away from these friends completely, knowing that true friendship cannot exist where morality is absent.
