244th Brahmotsav of Bhagwan Swaminarayan

The 244th Swaminarayan Brahmotsav commenced with immense devotion at Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Vijayawada. The day began with Swaminarayan Diksha, where devotees took vows of spiritual discipline. A heartfelt Maha Pooja was performed, invoking divine grace and blessings. The spiritual atmosphere was enhanced with holy chants and prayers. The highlight of the day was the Pallaki Yatra, where the divine idol of Bhagwan Swaminarayan was carried in a beautifully decorated palanquin, accompanied by bhajans and kirtans. The entire Gurukul echoed with spiritual joy, setting the tone for the sacred 9-day celebration. The day concluded with blessings from Swamiji and a sense of renewed devotion among all participants.


On the second day of the Brahmotsav, devotees delved into the teachings of the Vachanamrut, deepening their spiritual understanding. The day was filled with dhun, bhajan, and the chanting of Bhagwan Swaminarayan’s holy name. Saints delivered inspiring satsangs, guiding everyone towards righteous living. In the evening, a joyful and energetic Raas celebration brought devotees together in rhythmic claps and graceful dances, expressing devotion and unity. The third day of the 244th Swaminarayan Brahmotsav brought a deeper connection with Bhagwan through continuous chanting and Vachanamrut recitations. Day four of the Brahmotsav was marked by the grand Annakut celebration. Devotees began their day with spiritual readings and dhun, followed by discourses by saints that emphasized gratitude and inner devotion. The highlight was the beautifully arranged Annakut offering, with hundreds of dishes presented to Bhagwan Swaminarayan as a symbol of love and devotion. The divine darshan uplifted every heart, and the day concluded with heartfelt seva and prayers. The Gurukul glowed with spiritual energy, and the devotion of the community shone brightly during this vibrant celebration.


The fifth day began with students and devotees writing the sacred Swaminarayan Mahamantra and summarizing katha learnings, reflecting on their spiritual journey. Devotees experienced the bliss of bhakti and gnan throughout the day. The evening Raas was filled with joyous dancing and unity, strengthening everyone’s bond with Bhagwan Swaminarayan. Day six of the Brahmotsav began with continued Mahamantra writing and reflection on the teachings of Swamiji and saints. Devotees immersed themselves in Vachanamrut reading, gaining inner clarity and peace. Powerful katha sessions highlighted the importance of seva, satsang, and spiritual discipline. The evening saw a vibrant Raas celebration, where the Gurukul came alive with color, music, and devotion. Smiling faces and synchronized steps reflected the shared joy of spiritual connection. Swamiji’s divine presence uplifted everyone, and the journey of bhakti and enlightenment continued with even more excitement.


The seventh day of the Brahmotsav featured a divine Abhishekam ceremony performed with devotion by all teachers. They offered milk, water, and holy substances to the murti of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, symbolizing surrender and purity. The atmosphere was serene and spiritual, filled with Vedic chants and soulful bhajans. Devotees witnessed the beautiful ritual with reverence, feeling a deep sense of unity and devotion. The eighth day celebrated the divine birth of Bhagwan Swaminarayan with the grand Janma Mahotsav at HYH Hostel. Devotees began with an Abhishek, offering sacred items to the beautifully adorned murti amidst Vedic chants. A majestic Yatra followed, where the palanquin carrying Bhagwan’s murti was taken with great devotion. Students and devotees sang bhajans and chanted Bhagwan’s name throughout. The event included kirtans, spiritual reflections, a joyful cake cutting ceremony, and a powerful katha by Swamiji. The day ended with a devotional Raas, filling everyone with divine joy and lasting spiritual memories.
