On 21st August 2025, Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Belagola, Near Mysore, organized a delightful Puppet Show cultural event at Our Little Wonders Preschool, Vijayanagar 2nd Stage, Mysore. The program was specially designed for pre-schoolers and witnessed enthusiastic participation from the tiny tots of Pre-Nursery, LKG, and UKG classes.

The event was a beautiful blend of entertainment and value-based learning. Our mother taught an engaging puppet show performance that captured the attention of both the young audience and the staff present. The highlight of the show was a thought-provoking presentation on the importance of Pranam, along with captivating mythological stories based on Lord Ganesha and Lord Karthikeya. These stories not only entertained the children but also conveyed the significance of devotion, respect, and cultural values in a way that was easy for young learners to understand.

The narration of the puppet show was gracefully carried out by Shashi Kumari Madam, Pooja Madam, and PRO Manju Nayak, who ensured that the storyline was engaging and conveyed moral lessons effectively. With prior permission granted to conduct this program at their school, the collaboration became a meaningful opportunity for Gurukul students to share cultural wisdom while showcasing their creativity.

The puppet show provided a platform for students to express themselves artistically while strengthening their understanding of Indian traditions. By using puppetry as a medium, the children could learn how stories, values, and morals can be passed on in a fun and interactive manner. The event also created an atmosphere of joy, unity, and cultural pride among the participants and audience alike.

Overall, the Puppet Show by Gurukul Mysore staff at Our Little Wonders Preschool was more than just a cultural performance—it was an inspiring initiative that encouraged children to explore creativity, connect with their heritage, and embrace the timeless values taught in Indian culture. Such programs truly reflect the Gurukul’s commitment to holistic education, blending academics with cultural and moral development.
