Gurukul Jadcherla Alumnus Secures 3rd Place in National AI Hackathon

A proud moment for Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul International School, Jadcherla! Our alumnus Amrudh Vishal, from the Batch of 2022–23, has earned national recognition through innovation, teamwork, and a technology-driven solution to a real-world problem.

Along with his teammate Parichay, Amrudh represented Team SAMARTHAN AI in the Build What Moves India Hackathon, securing an outstanding 3rd place among 13,694 applications.

1. Turning a Real-World Problem into an AI-Powered Solution

Online financial scams and cybercrime often leave victims confused about where to report an incident and what steps to take next. Recognizing this challenge, Team SAMARTHAN AI developed a project titled “Help with Cyber Fraud — Report Cyber Fraud. Get Clear Next Steps.”

The project aims to make cyber fraud reporting easier to understand by guiding people towards appropriate reporting channels and helping them identify the next steps to take after encountering cyber fraud.

By addressing an issue that affects individuals and families, the team demonstrated how artificial intelligence can be used to develop practical solutions with the potential to benefit society.

Their work reflects an important principle of innovation: technology becomes truly valuable when it helps solve real problems and makes a positive difference in people’s lives.

2. National Recognition for Innovation and Problem-Solving

The Build What Moves India Hackathon, organized by OpenAI and Varun Mayya, provided a competitive platform for participants to transform their ideas into practical technological solutions.

Among 13,694 applications, Amrudh Vishal and Parichay achieved an impressive 3rd-place finish. This accomplishment recognizes their innovative thinking, collaborative effort, and commitment to developing technology with a meaningful purpose.

Their achievement is a reminder that identifying a genuine problem, thinking creatively, and working together can turn a promising idea into a solution with real-world potential.
